Hi everyone,
I hope you're all having a beautiful week, I've been working on two rosary repairs this week, along with some of my other work which I'll be chatting about in my next post.
These two rosaries needed repairing, and the first one had broken wire which I carefully restrung the gemstone beads back onto new beading wire, along with the corpus of Jesus that had detached from the crucifix. I managed to repair the whole crucifix and Jesus is now restored on the cross. Here are the Before and After pictures for you to see...
You can see the tiny Jesus in the middle of the silver beads, and the broken wire. Now, let's see the finished repair shall we...
Jesus is back on the crucifix and the beads are all nicely fixed onto new strong beading wire, the rosary was polished and sent back to the customer :)
For the second rosary, we have a broken chain linked Mother of Pearl rosary. The links had broken and some of the beads were missing, a few had tarnished too. So, I added new matching Mother of Pearl 'rice shaped' beads to her rosary and attached the crucifix a little bit better. Here are the pictures of the rosary beforehand...
And, here we have the final rosary restored and polished. Ready to post back to the customer. A very pretty and delicate rosary which I enjoyed working on....
I also returned the tarnished beads and old pieces of chain that I'd replaced at the customers request, due to the sentimental value of the rosary.
I hope you enjoyed viewing these repairs, and in my next post I'll be sharing some new rosary designs I've been working on :)
Wishing you a wonderful week, take care and God bless you always!
Blessings, Emma Jane
